How it works
Design a Custom Drawer Organizer in 5 Minutes.
Measure your drawer. Sketch a layout. Add tools. Pick colours. Order. From opening the editor to a made-to-fit organizer in your hand — no CAD, no printer, no assembly.
Measure the drawer
Empty the drawer, take out any existing mats or dividers, and measure the interior in millimetres. Interior width (side-to-side inside face) × interior depth (front-to-back) × interior height (base to underside of the rail above). Subtract 3-5 mm from width + depth as a clearance so the insert drops in without binding on non-square walls.
Sketch the layout
Open the editor. The grid canvas rescales to whatever dimensions you punched in. Drag divider lines to split the drawer into compartments; each compartment can be resized independently. Snap-to-grid keeps everything tidy. Load a preset (“Ikea Alex shallow”, “basic mechanic metric”, “everyday makeup bag”) as a starting point and edit from there.
Add tool cutouts
Inside each compartment, drop tools from the picker. Every silhouette is measured from a real object — sockets by drive size, wrenches by profile, brushes by ferrule diameter, palettes by footprint. Rotate, mirror, or duplicate. Missing an item? Send a photo and we add it to your design manually.
Preview in 3D and pick colours
Flip to the 3D preview to rotate, zoom, and check how it looks from every angle. Pick a body colour and an accent from the current filament palette. The accent is a single-colour swap during printing — it looks premium and prints in one pass. What you see is what we print.

FAQ
Everything else.
Do I need CAD skills?
No. The editor is drag-and-drop. Punch your drawer dimensions, load a preset that’s close, adjust compartments visually, order. Ten minutes for a first insert; five for the second.
Do I need a 3D printer?
No. We print in Toronto and ship to any Canadian address. Canada Post rates calculate live at checkout. If you own a printer and want the STL, email us after ordering; we send the file for personal use at no charge.
How accurate is the fit?
Pockets are 0.4 mm larger than the nominal tool silhouette on each side, so tools drop in without friction but don’t rattle. Drawer body dimensions are printed to the millimetre you enter; we recommend subtracting 3-5 mm from your interior width + depth for clearance on non-square drawers.
What plastic do you print in?
Matte PLA (polylactic acid) — non-toxic, low-odour, dishwasher-safe up to about 40 °C. PLA is stiff and stable at room temperature. For a hot environment (car interior in July, sun-heated bench) email us for PETG, which handles 60 °C+.
What layer resolution do you print at?
0.2 mm layer height for standard inserts. That’s the sweet spot between speed (about 3 hours for a shallow Alex) and finish (smooth to the touch, no visible layer lines from a normal viewing angle). For visible-surface presentation pieces we offer 0.12 mm on request.
What colours can I choose?
One body colour and one accent colour from our current filament palette (updated in the editor). Standard stock: white, cream, matte black, warm grey, deep sky blue, orange, emerald, dusty rose, warm oak, natural. Body + accent are printed as one continuous part; the accent is a colour swap during printing.
How long from order to delivery?
Handling: 1-3 business days from order (design queues on the day, prints run overnight). Transit: 2-5 days Canada Post ground to most addresses. So 3-8 days total, faster if you order early in the week.
What if the fit isn’t right?
If the printed insert doesn’t match the drawer measurements you entered, we reprint free. If your drawer differs from what you entered, one revision + reprint at the material cost only.
Do I own the design?
Yes. Every design you save on your account is yours to re-order, share, or export as an STL. We don’t sell designs.
